This stylish 18 inch necklace is composed of off-round (AA ) 7.5-8.0 mm black freshwater pearls. The pearls are perfectly matched, have a smooth surface, and a black-treated body color. Each pearl is individually knotted on twin silk and finished with a solid 14-karat gold clasp.
As black is not a naturally occurring color in freshwater pearls, the pearls have been treated with a permanent organic dye to achieve their dark coloration.
